Neuropsychology
Neuropsychology is the study of brain behavior relationships. We concern ourselves with those areas involved in reasoning and problem solving, learning and recall, selective attention and concentration, perception, sensation, language processes, and motor processes. These aspects of brain behavior can affect learning, behavioral and social functions.
We provide neuropsychological evaluations that assess neurocognitive functioning. These include cognitive skills, memory, executive function and several processing areas that are important in thinking and interacting with the environment. The information obtained is helpful in developing recommendations for treatment plans and educational and vocational planning.
Using neuropsychological information from the various assessments including the QEEG insight is gained on the brain’s functional skill areas and levels. Neurofeedback treatment is specifically directed to tap into the neuroplasticity of the brain and specifically at those identified areas of need to produce permanent improvement.
